1- YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steven Chen and Jawed Karim in February 2005. All of them have been past employees of Paypal. It was officially launched in December 2005.
Within two months of October 2, 2006, within 18 months, Google purchased YouTube for 1.65 billion dollars in exchange for the stock. Karim received $ 66 million from the deal, $ 310 million for Chen and Harley got $ 334 million of Google stock.
3- Within a month of becoming YouTube, it got 3 million viewers. In the third month i.e. February 2006, the number of visitors increased threefold. And by July 2006, the number had been 30 million visitors. Within a year of installation, the number of visitors to YouTube was more than three billion.
4- After the Google search engine, YouTube has become the second largest search engine.
5- Number of YouTube viewers is 44 per cent females, 56 per cent are men. Most of them are between 12 to 17 years of age.
6- September 2005 saw the advertisements of soccer player Ronaldino Naik touched the figure of one million. This ad was considered a touch of gold.
7- 46,296 YouTube videos are watched every second worldwide.
8- Full HD video service in YouTube was launched in November 2009.
9- In 2013 Google had made some YouTube channels under paid subscriptions. For this, users have to pay 1.99 dollars every month.
